Where In The World Is Barre?

Barre (pronounced bar'ee) is situated in Central Vermont, an area of New England known for great skiing, spectacular foliage, and year-round natural beauty. Barre is adjacent to the state capital of Montpelier and is home to a variety of cultural and recreational attractions, including the Vermont Philharmonic, the Thunder Road raceway, the Barre Opera House, excellent fine dining, family style restaurants, and wonderful country inns.

Barre is approximately 2 1/2 hours drive from either Montreal or Boston, and 50 minutes from Burlington. The nearest airports include Burlington International Airport and the Barre-Montpelier Airport which is available for small private planes.
